The data we collect and why
We only collect what you give us in our forms, to handle your request:
- Contact form: your name, email, phone number (optional), the subject you choose and your message, to answer you.
- Course enrollment: your name, phone number, email (optional), the course, your preferred format and schedule, and your message, to contact you about your enrollment and organise your training.
- Visits and orientation sessions: your name, phone number, email (optional), the day and time, at the school or online, the topic and your message, to organise the appointment and confirm it with you.
- Co-working reservations and subscriptions: your name, phone number or email, the space or plan, the dates, the number of people and the price, to confirm and manage your booking.
- Incubator application: your name, contact details, city, background and LinkedIn profile, your co-founders, and your answers about your startup, its market, team, funding and goals, to select the startups of our next cohort. Until you send it, the application is only kept in your own browser, so you can finish it later.
- Skill test: your answers and, if you give it, your first name, to suggest courses. We don't keep them once the test is over.
Fields marked “optional” can be left empty.
Why we may use it
We process this data with your consent, which you give by sending a form, and to take the steps you ask for before an enrollment or a booking. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
Children
The Kids Academy welcomes young people aged 6 to 17. Requests about a child must be made by a parent or legal guardian, who gives the child’s details and consents on their behalf.
Visit statistics, without cookies
We count visits ourselves to know which pages are useful: the pages viewed, where visitors come from (for example Google or Instagram) and the type of device.
No cookies are used and nothing is stored about you: a visitor is recognised for one day only, through a code computed with a key that changes every day, and IP addresses are never written down. Only daily totals are kept, for up to 400 days. If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, your visits are not counted.
Cookies
This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie is a security cookie for our team when they sign in to the site’s administration.
Who receives your data
Your data is only accessible to the members of our team who are responsible for handling your request. We never sell or rent your personal data.
Your data may also be processed by service providers working on our behalf:
Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its data on servers located in Algeria. Our AI service provider, when the AI advisor for the skills test is enabled. It receives your answers and, if provided, your first name, in order to suggest the next question and generate your result. It does not receive your contact details.
All data processing and storage related to our services are carried out in Algeria.
Content from other services
To display the site, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google LLC) and some photos from Unsplash. These services receive your IP address and browser details when the page loads, under their own privacy policies. Links to other sites, such as Google Maps or social networks, take you to services with their own policies.
Where your data is stored
Our website and its data are stored on a server in Algeria, by our host Octenuim. When the AI advisor of the skill test is on, your answers are processed in the United States. Whenever data is stored or processed outside Algeria, this is done under the conditions set by Law No. 18-07.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages, appointment and booking requests: as long as needed to answer and follow up, and at most 3 years after our last contact.
- Enrollments: for the length of the training, then as long as the law requires (for example for accounting and certificates).
- Incubator applications: for the selection, and at most 2 years after our decision, unless your startup joins the incubator.
- Visit statistics: daily totals, for up to 400 days.
- Technical logs of our server (IP address, page visited, browser): 14 days, for security.
Security
Your data travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and is stored on a protected server. Only authorised members of our team can access it.
Your rights
Under Law No. 18-07, you can:
- be informed about how your data is used;
- access your data and get a copy of it;
- have it corrected, completed or deleted;
- object to its use, for legitimate reasons;
- refuse to receive marketing messages.
To use these rights, write to contact@codeandsens.com or call +213 668 30 15 69. We answer as soon as possible, and within one month at the latest. If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to the Autorité nationale de protection des données à caractère personnel (ANPDP).
Marketing messages
We only send you news or offers if you have agreed to receive them, and each message lets you stop them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when the website changes. The date at the top of the page shows the last update.
